Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital offers Internship and Internal Medicine Fellowship programs for veterinarians and externship programs for veterinary students and veterinary technician students.
Veterinary internships are for one year and are offered in the hospital and ambulatory service. (see Internships for more information).
Veterinary externships are available for veterinary students seeking equine clinical experience to satisfy externship requirements for their degree. Visits may be scheduled throughout the calendar year for up to a one month visit. Externships are limited to third and fourth year veterinary students only. (see Externships for more information).
The Veterinary Technician externship program is for students enrolled in accredited Veterinary Technician curriculums. The program provides off campus experience under the supervision of a licensed veterinary technician. (see Externships for more information).
