On Thursday, August 16 nearly 300 people represented farms, veterinary practices and sales agencies from all over the country at Rood & Riddle's first "Veterinary Concerns at Yearling Sales" seminar. The attendees heard 4 world-renowned Rood & Riddle veterinarians discuss the changes in sale conditions at Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton yearling sales as well as commonly encountered veterinary terminology and what it really means to the value of a yearling.
Many people were surprised at the candid nature of the panel discussion. Quotes like Dr. Larry Bramlage encouraging attendees to "Buy that horse. you're going to get a good deal and it will run well." made people excited at the possibility of using this new information to get great horses at a reasonable price.
