Rood & Riddle to Host Merial Gastroscopy Event
Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital will host a Merial Animal Health gastroscopy event and education forum from 8am to 4pm on July 15 in the Rood & Riddle Podiatry building. Horse owners are invited to schedule an appointment for their horse or horses to have a gastroscopy at no charge with medication purchase required only for those patients identified with stomach ulcers. Scholarships Aid 32 Students Committed to Equine Medicine
Lexington, KY (June 10, 2010) - Thirty-two leading veterinary students following a career path in equine medicine have received financial support through The Winner’s Circle Scholarship Program. The program, which is sponsored by the American Association of Equine Practitioners Foundation, Platinum Performance and The Race For Education, honors fourth-year students for involvement at their veterinary schools and dedication to careers in equine practice. Pre-Games Workshop to Give Sport Horse Owners an ‘Edge’ on Health Care
Achieving prime fitness in equine athletes will be the objective of The Winning Edge: Promoting Peak Performance in the Equine Athlete, a health care workshop for sport horse owners held in conjunction with the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™. Dr. Bramlage addresses issues facing Thoroughbred racing during the media blitz of Derby week
Rood & Riddle orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Larry Bramlage contributed his expertise to television and newspaper journalists during Kentucky Derby week when the national media focused its attention on horse racing. In addition to his regular duties as the principal spokesman of the AAEP’s On Call program where he routinely answered questions for the NBC, ESPN and newspaper journalists at Churchill Downs, Dr. Bramlage provided the Associated Press with essential information about steroid use in the equine.
