LABORATORY

Comprehensive, Reliable Test Results

Laboratory Services are available at all three of our hospitals: Lexington, Saratoga & Wellington.

The availability of comprehensive, reliable test results is a vital function of the continuous care provided at Rood & Riddle. We’re proud to offer an extensive range of clinical pathology services to aid our clinicians in diagnosing and treating clinical disease and as part of routine health and preventative medicine programs.

The lab and clinicians of Rood & Riddle are equipped to handle a variety of patient needs, from assessing inflammation to identifying metabolic disorders. Our laboratory continually adds new tests and services to its laboratory roster to enable us to perform most lab work in-house. That roster includes hematology, blood gases, serology, serum chemistry, bacteriology, mycology, cytology, parasitology, endocrinology and Coggins testing.

The Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital Laboratory also provides laboratory services to veterinarians in Kentucky and nationwide. Our lab is committed to providing accurate, timely results for all patients, with same-day service available for many tests, allowing prompt action and treatment (see individual test list for result time).
